There is an old abandoned train depot close to where I live. One day I was over by the old depot looking at it and a thought entered my head. At one point in time, if you wanted to travel and see all that the world had to offer, all of the beautiful, and historical land marks, you would take a train. If you went to the town store and bought anything, food, clothing, etc, those products would have arrived at the store by train. Anything sent by mail, before you received it, would have made a journey down the train tracks. Everything that you would have needed to carry on with your daily activities all revolved around one central location, the train depot. Today we have all sorts of ways to communicate and travel. Technology is a great thing. Modern day technology is responsible for airplanes, cars, boats, internet, cell phones, videogames, TV’s, and the computer you are sitting in front of right now. Sometimes it may be hard to imagine our lives with out all of these great inventions, but there is/can be, a down fall to all of this. With everyone in the world going their own way, doing their own thing, we can easily get so busy with life that we forget all the important stuff. With so many distractions in life, before you know it, you find yourself asking “Is this what life’s all about? What is my purpose?” If you have ever asked yourself these things and don’t really know the answers to these questions, I am happy to say, you are in the right place.

Why We Do It
As each day passes, I realize more and more how important it is to follow God. God created every living thing, and he had in mind, a purpose for everything he created. I have found that when I try to figure life out by myself, I end up with more questions than I had to start with, but if I rely on God to guide me through each and every day, life starts to make sense. I know that Gods way, is better than my way. Life is full of struggles, addiction, pain, and dead ends, but there is a way out, Gods way!! I know this to be true from personal experience, Jesus has saved me from these things and I want you to have a chance to experience this in your life. Jesus can provide for you spiritually, physically, and emotionally. He wants to be your closest friend. I have peace, hope, and love in my life now because of Jesus, and my prayer is for you to have these things as well.
